Nutrilite All Plant Protein
As mixed martial arts / Muay Thai athletes it’s essential to consume enough high-quality protein to build, repair, and sustain our muscles and maintain our energy levels. Nutrilite’s All Plant Protein powder is a great way to ensure we intake our protein requirements.
Darius, owner at Monsoon Gym & Fight Camp which offers Muay Thai training in Thailand adds, “if you really are serious about Muay Thai you need to pay attention to what you eat. Making sure you get enough protein is hugely important. Don’t consume enough high-quality protein as part of a well-balanced diet and you won’t reach your full potential – it’s as simple as that”. Well, you have been warned 😉
What is Nutrilite All Plant Protein?
Nutrilite claims to be the world’s No.1 selling vitamins and dietary supplement brand, first established all the way back in 1934.
As the name suggests, Nutrilite’s All Plant Protein is a vegetarian, plant-based protein powder. Specifically, the powder is created from soy protein, wheat protein, and pea protein.
The powder is an excellent lean, high-quality protein source consisting of 80% protein. Nutrilite’s All Plant Protein contains a blend of all nine essential amino acids.
When properly prepared the powder is a clean, easy-to-digest source of protein available at a reasonable price.
Ingredients
- Soy protein
- Wheat protein
- Pea protein
- Lecithin
- Silicon Dioxide
We assume the last two ingredients are added as an anti-caking agent and emulsifier to make it easier to prepare shakes from the protein powder.
The powder is vegetarian-friendly, dairy-free, lactose-free, and cholesterol-free. It contains no cholesterol, is low in fat, and is suitable for those sticking to Kosher or Halal eating practices.
However, as wheat is used as one of the main ingredients it does contain gluten.

Availability and Storage
The product is available in either 450g (36 serving) or 900g (72 serving) biodegradable containers and includes a 12.5g measuring spoon.
The best before date (shelf life) is two years from the manufacturing date, and there’s no necessity for refrigerated storage.
How to consume Nutrilite All-Plant Protein?
The easiest and most common way to use Nutrilite All Plant Protein is to prepare it as a shake.
Provided with the protein powder is a 12.5g measuring spoon.
Each 12.5g serving of powder contains 10g of protein.
(So if for example, you are a 75kg MMA/Muay Thai athlete looking to consume 1.6g of protein per kg of body mass, you’re looking at 120g of protein per day = 12 scoops if you were to derive all your daily protein intake from Nutrilite All Plant Protein).
Its recommended that each 12.5g scoop is combined with 240ml of liquid. This can be pretty much anything – water, milk, non-dairy alternative, fruit juice, vegetable juice, etc. Add the desired amount of powder and fluid to a shaker then agitate to combine to make a homogenous shake.
We found the powder easy to mix with water, quickly yielding a smooth drink.
If protein shakes aren’t your thing, you can add the protein powder to other recipes such as salads, soups, cereal, rice dishes etc.

Taste
The All Plant Protein is completely neutral in taste i.e. flavorless. So it is very easy to drink as a protein shake.
If combined with other ingredients either as a drink or meal, the protein powder won’t compromise or clash with other flavors – you really could add it to anything.
The powder is dry, so you’ll want to make sure it is well mixed.
If you prefer a flavored protein shake, Nutrilite’s protein powder is available in other variants including Chocolate, Vanilla, or Green Tea.
When is the best time to take Nutrilite All Plant Protein for Muay Thai / MMA?
If you are using Nutrilite All Plant Protein to create a protein shake, you can do so either before or after your martial arts training session. Latest research suggests that whether you consume the protein before or shortly after your exercise makes no measurable difference to muscle growth and repair.
You don’t want to participate in Muay Thai/MMA on a very full stomach, so if you plan to use Nutrilite All Plant Protein as an additive to a meal, that’s probably best left until after you’ve finished your gym workout.
Verdict: Nutrilite All Plant Protein for Muay Thai & MMA Training
This is a great product.
Nutrilite All Plant Protein is a tasteless, clean, easy to prepare and high-quality protein supplement combining all nine essential amino acids from vegetarian-friendly sources.
Cost is reasonable, shelf life is long and the product is compliant with almost all diets (the one notable exception being that it is not gluten-free).
It’s an easy, measurable way to make sure you intake the target 1.6g of quality protein per kg of body mass per day. And anything that makes life less complicated has to be a good thing!
